I am an American singer and songwriter born into a family of musicians, preachers, performers, and educators. I began singing in church choirs at the age of six. I have always enjoyed singing Gospel music at home with my family and in church and other public settings. Now, I have a deep love for Jesus and for worshipping the Lord in spirit and truth; from the depth of my soul. Most importantly, I enjoy getting together with others to praise and worship God!
I have had the privilege of singing at a number of local and international churches, graduations, Carnival Cruise Lines, weddings, and memorial services. Highlights of my singing experiences involve recording with the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar choir, serving as an international worship leader in Israel, and performing in local plays and musicals heavily attended by up to 15,000 attendees. Currently, I participate in the choir and worship team at my local church. In recent years, I have received vocal instruction at the West End Conservatory, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and Milwaukee Area Technical College.
I am also a professional educator. I am a former middle grades math teacher, and I taught education courses at local colleges/universities. I hold a bachelor's degree in business, a master's degree in education, and a Doctorate in Education. My area of specialization is mathematics education. I will resume teaching college courses and supporting math teachers in their work with their students in high-poverty urban schools.
