I am a retired math teacher with over 20 years in education, working with students in both high-needs public schools and on college campuses. With a Doctorate in Education focused on Mathematics, I aim to make learning both structured and engaging, always putting students at the center. I’ve taught everything from middle school math to mentoring new educators, and my passion for teaching goes beyond just the classroom. Moving forward, I plan to continue working with high-needs schools, dedicated teachers, and local communities to improve math education and help students reach their full potential. My faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) guides my work, and I strive to be a source of compassion, integrity, and support for both my students and colleagues. I currently serve as a doctoral committee member at a private college where I oversee and evaluate the dissertation process.
I am also a local Gospel recording artist. I started singing in church choirs at the age of six and have always enjoyed singing and listening to music with my family while growing up. My love for Jesus and worship runs deep, and I cherish coming together with others to praise God in spirit and truth.
I’ve had the privilege of performing at a variety of events, including local and international churches, graduations, weddings, memorial services, and even aboard Carnival Cruise Lines. Some of the highlights of my journey include recording with the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar choir, leading worship internationally in Israel, and performing in large local plays and musicals attended by up to 15,000 people. I occasionally sing at my local church and I am excited about sharing my talent with my community. Throughout my journey as a musician, I have received vocal training at the West End Conservatory, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and Milwaukee Area Technical College.
When I was six, I knew in my little six-year-old heart that I wanted to be a teacher and a performer. I believe each person is born with the potential to develop good gifts, talents, and abilities for three main reasons:
1) to please and glorify our Creator (Jesus)
2) for personal fulfillment
3) to help make our world a better place by sharing our gifts, talents, and abilities.
Therefore, if you have gifts, talents, and abilities that you still dream of realizing, go for it! If you are able, pursue your dreams regardless of your stage of life. Someone is waiting to be encouraged by you and no one in this world can do it like you!
